To the best of our knowledge, there were approximately 250 boats built by Beneteau in France from 1998 - 2001, please take a moment and register your boat with us so we can track each boat through out the world.

In the late 1970’s and early 80’s it appeared that if you did not sail a J-35 you could not be considered a true racer. Then along came a rash of very fast but confused racing boats for IOR, IMS, and similar designs, all spawned out of a need to go fast, but none could sustain the owners attention long enough to establish a “class” boat. Beneteau’s desire to hit the target market at a reasonable cost, with a multi-purpose boat was remarkable. Beneteau nicely filled that market niche with the creation of the recent First xx.7 series. It was clear from day one that the Farr designed First 40.7 was a winner, and the other Farr designed First 47.7 should be awarded a special prize for being the most luxurious racer/cruiser on the planet. The new First 36.7 and First 27.7 have already established their place in history by being voted Boat of the Year.

Now,  the First 33.7 designed by Berret/Racoupeau of La Rochelle, France has the similarities but is unique in the "quality" that the French can do better than anyone in the world. In the 33.7 we have all the value items for cruising and the speed required to win the “Silver Cup”.
